๐ฑ MDM โ Mobile Device Management
MDM (Mobile Device Management) lets you centrally manage, secure, and control all the mobile phones, tablets, and laptops your staff use โ whether they're company-owned or personal devices (BYOD). Essential for any business with remote workers, field engineers, or staff using mobile devices to access company data.
- Enrol & Manage All Devices - iPhones, Android phones, iPads, Windows laptops โ all managed from one dashboard
- Remote Wipe - Instantly wipe a lost or stolen device to protect company data
- App Management - Push, update, or remove apps across all devices remotely
- Policy Enforcement - Enforce screen locks, encryption, and password policies automatically
- BYOD Support - Separate work and personal data on staff's own devices
- Compliance Reporting - Prove device compliance for ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, and GDPR
- Location Tracking - Track company-owned devices in real time
- Works with your SIMs - Pair MDM with our business SIM only deals for complete mobile management
MDM is particularly important if your staff use mobile phones to access email, CRM, or customer data. Without it, a lost phone is a data breach waiting to happen.
๐ Secure DNS, Malicious URL Blocking & Web Filtering
Secure DNS โ also called DNS filtering, protective DNS, or web filtering โ is one of the most effective and cost-efficient cybersecurity layers available to businesses. It works by intercepting every web request your devices make and checking it against threat intelligence databases in real time. If the destination is a known malicious URL, phishing site, malware distribution point, or blocked category, the request is stopped before anything loads โ on every device, on every network, including remote workers at home.
The UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the Irish National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC Ireland) both recommend protective DNS as a baseline security control for all organisations.
What Gets Blocked
- Malicious URLs - Known malware, ransomware, and exploit kit delivery sites blocked automatically
- Phishing Sites - Fake login pages impersonating banks, Microsoft, HMRC, Revenue, and other trusted services
- Ransomware Command & Control - Block ransomware from "calling home" even if a device is infected
- Botnets - Prevent infected devices from communicating with botnet infrastructure
- Typosquatting Domains - Block lookalike domains designed to trick staff (e.g. rn1crosoft.com)
- Newly Registered Domains - Flag or block domains registered in the last 30 days, commonly used in attacks
- Cryptomining Sites - Block sites that hijack your devices' processing power
- Inappropriate Content - Adult content, gambling, and other categories you choose to block
- Social Media & Streaming - Optional productivity filtering during work hours
How It Works
Every device โ whether on your office network, on a staff member's home broadband, or on a mobile data connection โ sends DNS queries to resolve website addresses. Our secure DNS service sits in the path of those queries. Malicious or blocked destinations are returned as "not found" before any connection is made. There's nothing to install on most devices, and it works across Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and IoT devices.
- Block Malicious URLs on All Devices - Office, home workers, and mobile staff all protected
- Works on Mobile Data - Pair with our business SIMs for DNS filtering on 4G/5G connections
- No Hardware Required - Cloud-based, deployed in minutes
- Real-Time Threat Intelligence - Updated continuously as new threats emerge
- Detailed Logs & Reports - See every blocked request, who made it, and why it was blocked
- Custom Allow/Block Lists - Add your own rules on top of the standard threat feeds
- NCSC Protective DNS Compliant - Meets UK government recommendations
- Cyber Essentials Ready - Contributes to boundary firewall and malware protection controls
- GDPR Friendly - Logs are stored securely and can be configured to meet data minimisation requirements
Who Needs Malicious URL Blocking?
Every business โ but especially those with:
- Remote workers or hybrid teams accessing company systems from home
- Field engineers or mobile staff on 4G/5G connections
- Staff who handle financial transactions, customer data, or sensitive records
- Businesses required to hold Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, or similar certifications
- Any organisation that has suffered a phishing attack or ransomware incident
Secure DNS is not a replacement for a firewall or antivirus โ it works alongside them. Together, these three layers (firewall + endpoint protection + DNS filtering) cover the vast majority of attack vectors used against UK and Irish businesses today.
๐ Software Defined Networking (SDN) & SD-WAN
Software Defined Networking (SDN) separates the control of your network from the physical hardware, letting you manage, configure, and monitor your entire network from a single cloud dashboard โ no matter how many sites, offices, or remote locations you have. SD-WAN (Software Defined Wide Area Network) extends this across multiple locations and internet connections.
You may already be using SDN without knowing it โ TP-Link Omada (which we install and manage) is an SDN platform. Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti UniFi, and Fortinet FortiGate all use SDN principles.
- Centralised Management - Manage all your network devices (switches, access points, firewalls) from one cloud dashboard
- SD-WAN - Bond multiple internet connections (fibre + 4G/5G backup) for resilience and performance
- Multi-Site Networking - Connect multiple offices, warehouses, or retail sites as one unified network
- Zero-Touch Provisioning - Deploy new sites or devices remotely without sending an engineer
- Traffic Prioritisation (QoS) - Guarantee bandwidth for VoIP calls and critical applications
- Network Segmentation (VLANs) - Separate staff, guest, IoT, and CCTV traffic for security
- Real-Time Visibility - See every device, every connection, and every traffic flow in real time
- Automatic Failover - If your primary broadband fails, SD-WAN automatically routes traffic over 4G/5G
SDN and SD-WAN are particularly valuable for businesses with multiple locations, remote workers, or a mix of wired and wireless devices. Combined with our business broadband and SIM services, we can build a fully managed, resilient network for your business across the UK and Ireland.
- Firewall Management - Configuration, monitoring, and management of your network firewall
- Endpoint Protection - Antivirus and EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) on all devices
- Email Security - Anti-phishing, spam filtering, and email encryption
- Security Awareness Training - Train your staff to spot phishing and social engineering
- Vulnerability Assessments - Regular scanning to find weaknesses before attackers do
- Penetration Testing - Simulated attacks to test your real-world defences
- Incident Response - Fast response if you do suffer a breach or ransomware attack
- Dark Web Monitoring - Alert you if your business credentials appear on the dark web
